So Youth Morris Claiborne Jersey , that first half was ... something. The Jets backups on defense dominated the action. Some nice pass breakups, a little pressure, a sack or two, a couple of interceptions by Juston Burris and J.J. Wilcox gift wrapped by old friend Christian Hackenberg, and the Jets forged a 3-0 lead. The new kicker Jason Myers helped his cause with a long 58 yard field goal.On offense Jets receivers were plagued with drops, drops everywhere and not a catch in sight.Just two more quarters of fake football to go now. Try to cherish every moment. The preseason always goes by much too fast. Before you know it the games are all grown up and for real and they never call home any more and ... sniff ... sniff ... dang it I promised myself I wouldn’t cry.Anyway http://www.jetsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-kelvin-beachum-jersey ;, enjoy the final half of preseason Jets football. It just doesn’t get any better than this. Let’s take a look at where the Jets stack up around the league. To get a more accurate read on the Jets’ true performance level thus far, we’ll focus on some more intricate numbers in addition to the bread-and-butter yardage totals - which tend to teach you very little.PASSING OFFENSETotal yards per game: 207.6 (27th)Attempts per game: 31.6 (25th)First downs/game: 16.4 (30th) - First down percentage: 30.5% (26th)Completion percentage: 56.1% (30th)Yards per completion: 12.5 (8th)Yards per attempt: 7.0 (23rd)Sack rate allowed: 6.8% (19th)Net yards per attempt (includes sack yardage): 6.0 (25th)Team QB rating: 74.3 (29th)Team TD%: 4.5% (19th)Team INT%: 4.5% (30th)Percentage of red zone plays resulting in TD: 16% (27th)RUSHING OFFENSETotal yards per game: 121.9 (12th)Attempts per game: 28.1 (8th)Yards per attempt: 4.3 (15th)Touchdowns: 6 (9th)Times stuffed (2 yards or less, no first down): 87 (32nd)First downs per game: 5.9 (18th) - first down percentage: 21.8% (24th)Stuff to first down ratio: 2.0 : 1 (29th)3rd/4th & 3 or less conversion rate: 69.2% (21st)Red zone performance: 1.2 yards per carry (32nd) - 16.1% first down/TD rate (30th)PASSING DEFENSETotal yards per game: 266.0 (21st)Attempts per game: 40.6 (6th most)First downs/game: 13.4 (23rd) - First down percentage: 34.0% (17th)Completion percentage: 63.0% (13th)Yards per completion: 11.1 (13th)Yards per attempt: 7.0 (7th)Sack rate: 5.0% (26th)Net yards per attempt (includes sack yardage): 6.2 (8th)Team QB rating: 84.5 (5th)Team TD%: 4.6% (14th)Team INT%: 3.5% (7th)Percentage of red zone plays ending in TD: 11.6% (2nd)RUSHING DEFENSETotal yards per game: 105.7 (14th)Attempts per game: 25.3 (17th)Yards per attempt: 4.2 (14th)Touchdowns: 6 (T-17th)Stuffs (2 yards or less, no first down): 70 (10th)First downs per game: 5.3 (6th) - first down percentage: 23.7% (11th)Stuff to first down ratio: 1.7 : 1 (11th)3rd/4th & 3 or less conversion rate: 66.7% (T-8th)Red zone performance: 2.8 yards per carry (21st) - 16.1% first down/TD rate (24th)OVERALL OFFENSE3rd down conversions: 34.4% (28th)Red zone conversions: 34.8% (32nd)Percentage of drives ending in turnovers: 16.1% (26th)Percentage of drives ending in scores: 35.5% (21st)Points per offensive drive: 1.75 (24th)Average drive start: own 30.7 (7th)Total points per game (includes D/ST scores): 26.0 (13th)OVERALL DEFENSE3rd down conversions: 33.0% (5th)Red zone conversions: 43.5% (5th)Percentage of drives ending in turnovers: 15.6% (8th)Percentage of drives ending in scores: 32.3% (7th)Points per defensive drive: 1.76 (11th)Average drive start: opponent 31.9 (30th)Total points per game (includes D/ST scores): 25.1 (17th)As is perhaps expected with a rookie quarterback and subpar offensive line, the Jets are becoming a very one-dimensional team. The defense, even having allowed 71 points on their own field over the last two games Neal Sterling Jersey , has gotten the short end of the stick from the offense. The Jets defense is playing at a top ten level on 3rd down, in the red zone, and in the takeaway department. They’re doing that with the 3rd worst average starting field position in the league thanks to the offense. On the other side, the offense is performing at a bottom ten level in converting 3rd downs, scoring touchdowns in the red zone, and taking care of the ball. They’ve done all of that in spite of prime field position thanks to the defense and special teams - yet have still struggled and failed to give the defense rest and good field position in return. The Jets are 30th in plays and time of possession per drive.Injuries and offensive help considered Authentic Doug Middleton Jersey , the Jets defense has done a respectable job thus far this year on the whole. There are a lot of long-term holes that still need filling, and the unit has been far from elite, but their situational ability has been impressive so far.Altogether, these numbers aren’t terribly surprising. The Jets are struggling to build consistency under a rookie quarterback, with a mediocre offensive line and banged up skill position group that is devoid of a star. Defensively, the Jets are a solid Youth Brandon Copeland Jersey , but unspectacular unit that is prone to pay for its lack of pass rush and depth but has done a great job in key situations and with making big plays.
